Exhibition #1

Some how.. we are in August already. So we have put our heads together and and organised something that makes the prosepct of September a little less depressing. On the 2nd September we invite you to Exhibition #1, the first in a series of nights giving you the best in street fashion and music. Starting off at 8pm, we will be showcasing the freshest, up and coming streetwear labels along with some serious talent behind the decks to keep you moving untill 4am!

Set List:

Hackman’s sound is characterised by warm analog sub bass and asymmetric percussion layered over a 4x4 base. But there’s an abundance of interesting groove and warm bass in the 130ish/funky spectrum: what makes Hackman’s sound stand out from the crowd is a great propensity for saccharine sweet melodies that contrast with the dark sub and scattered drums. These melodies seem to echo MJ Cole’s turn of the millennium 2step productions, with lush touches despite a tuff club exoskeleton.

Oxford producer Graphics, is more than just your next future garage superstar. Listening to his two new tunes 'OK Rainbow’ and ‘Adjectival E’ have been described by FACT magazine as, 'being immersed in subtropical heatstroke, fogged so that every element sounds just slightly obscured and mysteriously smokescreened. ‘OK Rainbow’ cultivates its atmosphere with a crushing bassline that fissures the ground beneath, and takes almost three minutes of unsettling murmuring to coalesce into its stunning breakdown of unstable synths, plummeting basslines and the most soulful chipmunk vocals'

London's Synamatix has been a regular face on the Bass scene for a while now, seamlessly merging between a host of genres including House, Garage, UK Funky, Dubstep and Techno. First starting DJing at 15, he has been mastering the art for over 7 years and has played many of the UK's most established venues including Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Brixton Mass, SEOne and Motion. Creator of Deadplate records with forthcoming releases from Hackman, Lung, Artifact and Maxx Roach, Alex also helped bring us the outstanding fashion/ streetwear website 'The Daily Street'!

The man behind one of our favourite blogs, Pelski. As well as running his acclaimed blog 'You Can Call Me Pelski', he recently teamed up with Berlin based agency and label Jackmode for a series of packed out events in London and Gottwood Festival, featuring the likes of the Martin Brothers, Jesse Rose and Zombie Disco Squad.

Wilderness Festival

A couple of weeks ago, the lovely people at Secret Garden Party gave me a few tickets to go to Wilderness Festival. In exchange we were asked to draw some craziness all over some furniture at a bar, This is some of what we came up with.
